From May 7th to 9th, 2025, the "2025 China Pipe and Pipe Fittings Forming Conference and the Meeting of the Pipe Forming Working Committee" was successfully held in Hefei, Anhui. The conference was sponsored by the China Forging Association, organized by Forging & Stamping Magazine Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Anhui Siming Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Academy of Sciences and Experts Federation, Anhui Forging Association, Anhui Automobile Industry Association, Anhui Scientists and Entrepreneurs Association, and Anhui Foundry Association.
This conference was a grand industry event integrating industry reports, technical lectures, special seminars, and experience sharing. Its aim was to build industry consensus and jointly explore new development paths for the industry. The conference achieved fruitful results, with nearly a hundred representatives in attendance, including local government representatives, experts and scholars from outstanding scientific research institutions, elites from automotive OEMs, pipe processing and other parts production enterprises, suppliers, and related enterprises across the country.
The conference officially began at 8:50 am on May 8th. Song Zhongping, the deputy secretary-general of the China Forging Association, delivered the opening speech, and Yu Dongliang, the general manager of Anhui Siming Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., extended a warm welcome to all participants.
During the conference, there were a series of keynote speeches:
"Digital Manufacturing Strategies and Applications for Metal Pipes" by Xu Yong, a research fellow at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the executive director of the Pipe Forming Working Committee of the China Forging Association. The speech introduced the importance of aerospace pipelines in systems such as the hydraulic system, fuel system, lubricating oil system, and environmental control system.
"Aerospace Pipeline Manufacturing Technology" by Bai Xueshan, a senior chief engineer at Shenyang Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.
"Application of Hydroforming Technology in Complex Automotive Pipe Parts" by Xia Liangliang, a postdoctoral fellow at Ningbo Siming Automotive Technology Co., Ltd.
"Precision Forming Technology for Metal Pipes and Special Rolling Equipment" by Professor Chu Zhibing from Taiyuan University of Science and Technology.
"Fluid Pressure Forming Equipment, Die Technology, and Application Cases" by Li Bo, the chief process engineer of Guangdong Xingdi HydroTech Equipment Co., Ltd.
"Research and Application of a Pipe NC Bending Equipment Based on Full-Electric Control" by Wang Yuanbin, the R&D director of Zhejiang Changxing Heliang Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.
"Research on Key Technologies for the Design and Manufacturing of Complex Pipeline Systems Driven by the New Generation of Artificial Intelligence" by Wang Zili, an associate researcher at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University.
"Pipe Lightweight Forming Technology and Equipment" by Jiang Liubao, a senior engineer at Chongqing Jiangdong Machinery Co., Ltd.
"Mechanism and Control Methods of Forming Defects during the Bending Process of High-Performance Pipeline Components" by Sun Hong, a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern Polytechnical University.
"Steel for New Energy Vehicles of Shougang Group and Lightweight Solutions" by Wang Baochuan, a principal research fellow at the Technology Research Institute of Shougang Group Co., Ltd.
"Application of Intelligent Manufacturing in the Stamping and Forming of Exhaust System Housings" by Zhai Chengfu, the chief stamping process engineer of Jiefeng Automotive Power System Co., Ltd.
"The Role of Group Standards and Their Significance to Enterprises and Customers" by Sun Jiaojiao, the director of the Group Standard Working Committee of the China Forging Association.
The conference also included venue snapshots, a small exhibition, and a visit to Anhui Siming Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. Anhui Siming Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of automotive lightweight parts in China. It is equipped with 70 CNC devices and 12 production lines, with an annual sales volume reaching 150 million yuan.
