On March 12, 2025, the 9th Working Conference of the Directors Committee for Stamping, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Fine Blanking, Precision High-Speed Stamping, and Head Forming of the China Forging & Press Association (CFPA) was successfully held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

This working conference was hosted by Wuxi Wei Yan Co., Ltd., the rotating director unit of CFPA’s Precision High-Speed Stamping Committee, and co-organized by Jiangsu Pengde Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., the rotating chairman unit of CFPA and the rotating director unit of the Stamping Branch.

 

Out of the 19 invited units, 15 attended the meeting, while 4 were excused due to unavoidable reasons. A total of 22 representatives participated in person. The conference was chaired by Qi Junhe, Vice Chairman of CFPA and Executive Director of the Five Industry Branches/Working Committees. Zhu Yuanhua, Deputy General Manager of Wuxi Wei Yan Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Chairman Cai Leiming. Chairman Tan Weiguang, representing CFPA, delivered an important address.

 

Song Zhongping, Deputy Secretary-General of CFPA and Secretary-General of the Stamping and Sheet Metal Fabrication Branch, presented a report on behalf of the CFPA Secretariat, summarizing the association’s work in the metal sheet forming industry in 2024 and outlining the 2025 plan. He also introduced the preparations for CFPA’s major 2025 event—the "September Festival" of China’s forging and stamping industry in Shanghai, with a special focus on the 2025 China International Metal Forming Exhibition & Conference. Jia Ruipeng, from CFPA’s Industry Research Office & Brainstorming Expert Service Center, provided a detailed explanation of the leadership group, drafting team, framework, requirements, and outline for CFPA’s "15th Five-Year" Development Plan for the forging and stamping industry, setting a solid foundation for a practical and actionable industry roadmap.

 

Following this, representatives from the 14 attending director units each gave presentations and engaged in lively discussions on key industry challenges, including:

 

The accelerated evolution of unprecedented global changes and their impact on markets, technology, and supply chains;

 

The role of national industrial policies, such as the "Two New" initiatives, in driving market demand;

 

Insights and innovations in exploring new business models and emerging markets;

 

Strategic approaches and measures for the "15th Five-Year" development plan and 2035 long-term vision.
